When KD avia was originally called Kalininigrad Avia the airline operated Tupolev 134 and 154 aircraft. But in 2005, KD avia started a fleet renovation project and removed all Tupolev's from operation, replacing them with Boeing 737-300's.

KD avia now operate an all Boeing fleet and as of March 2007 they had 16 Boeing 737-300's. When the new transit passenger terminal opens and the new hub and spoke system begins the airline hopes to achieve a fleet of 19 Boeing 737's to provide the additional routes.
